    Off grid installation advice

Looking to purchase & install a small solar system for a remote cabin. Prob only small compressor fridge (12v), few led lights, v small TV & phone charging in evening. Poss small inverter, 500w. No winter use, so reasonable to good solar days, but autostart Geny for any extra load or v low battery.

Does such a system exist off the shelf? Where to go for advice about such?
    Thanks

    Re: Off grid installation advice

I lived DIY off-grid (PV, wind, passive solar) for almost twenty years near Flagstaff, Az., and during that time (1997 - 2015) Northern Arizona Wind & Sun was always my first choice for all my DIY off-grid electrical needs. They are a full-service/installing retailer (i.e., not just an on-line seller), with knowledgeable and helpful staff. Can't hurt to give them a call and see what they suggest to suit your needs and budget.
